St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 53 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Akeem Brandon Demolle, 38, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 7, 2025, at 5:39 pm on two complaint warrants for the charges of cyberstalking and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, as well as a warrant for failure to appear.

Demolle also held multiple warrants with other agencies to include Franklin Police Department, Vermillion Parish S.O., St. Martin Parish S.O., Iberia Parish S.O., Opelousas P.D., and Lafayette Parish S.O.

Bail has not been set on the SMPSO charges and a hold has been placed on Demolle for other agencies.

 

Bonnie Claar Tallada, 31, Patterson, LA, was arrested on January 7, 2025, at 1:03 pm for for disobeyed stop sign and violation of protective order (2 counts). Bail was set at $10,150.
