Arrest Report- April 15, 2026

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 46 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Benjamin Green, 58, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on April 14, 2026, at 1:50 pm on a warrant for residential contractor fraud. Bail was set at $500.

Patricia Melendez, 41, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on April 14, 2026, at 3:07 pm on the following charges:

• Misuse of 911
• Criminal mischief
• Criminal trespass
• Disturbing the peace by language

Bail was set at $12,000.

Cesar Ortiz-Resendiz, 32, Amelia, LA, was arrested on April 14, 2026, at 10:58 pm for driving while intoxicated, driver must be licensed, and driving on roadway laned for traffic. Bail was set at $11,250.
