ST MARY PARISH SHERIFF'S SURPLUS SALE

June 6th, 2023

 

Notice is hereby given that the St Mary Parish Sheriff's Office will conduct a public sale of property declared surplus on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 10 a.m., 500 Main Street, 4th Floor - Courthouse Building, Franklin, LA.

 

Completed bid forms must be placed in the sealed envelope provided in the bid pack. Only one bid form per envelope. Please write on the outside of the envelope the item number you are bidding on. Bid registration form and bid envelopes MUST be turned in before 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6th, 2023 at the Sheriff's Office Headquarters, 500 Main Street, Fourth Floor - Courthouse Building, Franklin, LA.

 

The bidding is open to the public. All persons wishing to participate must register with the Sheriff's Office and turn in a completed registration form. A list of items available for sale, bid instructions, and registration forms may be obtained from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from the Sheriff's Office Headquarters located at 500 Main Street, 4th Floor Courthouse, Franklin, the Sheriff's Branch Office located at Railroad Ave. in Morgan City, or the Sheriff's Motor Pool located at 10816 Hwy 182, Franklin.

 

Preview will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, May 29th thru Friday, June 2nd, at the Sheriff's Motor Pool. You may call 337-578-3932 for assistance.

 

Anyone may attend the opening of the bids on Tuesday, June 6, 2023.

 

You will be notified via telephone on the day of the sale if your bid is successful.

 

All sales are final with no warranties or refunds. The Sheriff reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to select the bid which serves the best interest of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

 

 

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff will conduct a proposed budget hearing for their upcoming fiscal year on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Sheriff's Office, Parish Courthouse - Fourth Floor, Franklin, LA. The purpose of the hearing is to invite public comment on the expenditure of funds by the Sheriff for the fiscal year July 1, 2023, thru June 30, 2024.   The proposed budget is available for public inspection during regular office hours 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This notice is prepared and published in compliance with Louisiana Revised Statutes 39:1301-1314. This will be an important meeting and all interested persons are urged to attend.
