Arrest Report- April 17, 2026
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 41 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Henry Manuel Rabelo, 42, Patterson, LA, was arrested on April 16, 2026, at 2:54 pm for child sexual abuse material (26 counts) and one count of sexual abuse of an animal.
St. Mary Parish Detectives received a tip regarding a Patterson man with child sexual abuse material in his possession. An investigation was began and a search warrant was obtained. On April 13, 2026, detectives executed the search warrant that led to the apprehension of Henry Rabelo. Rabelo was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.
As the investigation continued, detectives found digital files that led to another warrant for 24 additional counts of child sexual abuse material and one count of sexual abuse of an animal.
Detectives made contact with Rabelo at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center and booked him on the additional charges. Bail has not been set for Rabelo at this time.

Rufus Scott Ackman Jr., 56, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 16, 2026, at 11:25 pm for criminal trespass, driving while intoxicated, and hit and run. Bail was set at $4,500.
Kayala Sharae Jackson, 31, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 16, 2026, at 9:14 am on a warrant for failure to appear for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jackson was released on a $2,000 bond.
Harold John Edwards Jr., 45, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on April 16, 2026, at 1:48 pm on two warrants for failure to appear for criminal neglect of family and possession of alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles. Bail has not been set at this time.
