Arrest Report- August 14, 2026

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 48- hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 51 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Cartney Jevonne Price, 37, Thibodaux, LA, was arrested on August 13, 2026, at 5:04 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for the charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating a vehicle with improper taillights.  Bail has not been set at this time.

 

𝗗𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗻, 𝟯𝟴, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on August 12, 2026, at 8:25 am on a warrant for possession of schedule II drugs and obstruction of justice-tampering.  

Johnson was previously arrested on August 10, 2026, at 4:47 pm on a warrant for battery-aggravated and illegal use of weapons.

On Monday, August 10, 2026, at approximately 11:00 am, deputies were dispatched to the Four Corners area in response to reports of gunfire on Highway 318. Upon arrival at the scene, deputies located a male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was promptly transported to a local medical facility for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury.

Detectives immediately launched an investigation into the incident. Following the collection and review of evidence from the scene, a suspect identified as Deondre Johnson was developed.

Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect and were able to locate and apprehend him quickly. He was subsequently transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, where he was booked.

As the investigation progressed, detectives obtained a warrant related to the results of the search warrant that was conducted on August 10, 2026. Methamphetamines had been located during that search. Detectives went to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center and charged Johnson with the additional charges. Bail has not been set on the additional charges. Johnson remains incarcerated at the SMPLEC.

NARCOTICS SECTION

Joseph Daniels, 29, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on August 13, 2026, at 2:00 pm for Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set at this time.
