St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 153 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Travis Coler Sr., 43, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on August 17, 2025, at 9:32 am for domestic abuse battery-pregnant victim (2 counts), domestic abuse battery-strangulation, and domestic abuse child endangerment law. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Kathleen Elizabeth Heard, 32, Pierre Part, LA, was arrested on August 15, 2025, at 12:05 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for the charges of improper driving left of center and failing to honor a written promise to appear. Heard was released on a $350 bond. 

 

Wilmer Sadi Reyes Cacres, 24, Amelia, LA, was arrested on August 16, 2025, at 2:28 am on the following charges:

  • Driving while intoxicated
  • No driver's license
  • Improper lane usage
  • No insurance
  • Expired license plate

Bail was set at $10,250.

 

Jamie Truman Scarbrough Jr., 36, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on August 16, 2025, at 1:15 pm for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $1,500. 

 

Erica Natasha Darby, 38, New Orleans, LA, was arrested on August 16, 2025, at 1:19 pm on the following charges:

  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of methamphetamines
  • Introduction of contraband-penal institution
  • Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
  • Possession of schedule II drugs

Bail was set at $41,500.

 

Devin Russell Benoit, 28, Thibodaux, LA, was arrested on August 17, 2025, at 7:49 am on a warrant for failure to appear for the charges of hunting and/or possession of ducks other than teal and intentional littering. Benoit was released on a $500 bond. 

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Troy Rosson, 45, Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 18, 2025, at 5:48 am on the following charges:  

  • Possession of methamphetamine
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Operating a vehicle with an expired license plate
  • Operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled
  • Improper lane usage

Bail has not been set at this time.
