Arrest Report- August 31, 2026

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 159 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Damarcus Deshawn McNeal, 29, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on August 30, 2026, at 6:17 am on a Morgan City Police Department warrant for attempted 1st-degree murder and armed robbery. McNeal was transported to another jurisdiction.

 

David Lee Lodrigue, 46, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on August 28, 2026, at 12:40 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for possession of marijuana. Lodrigue was released on a completed sentence.

 

Martel Tevin Malik Swarn, 21, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on August 28, 2026, at 8:23 pm on the following charges:

• Possession of marijuana
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of legend drug without prescription
• License plate lights required

Swarn was released on a $2,500 bond.

 

James Ray Thoune, 33, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on August 30, 2026, at 4:18 pm on a warrant for theft. Bail was set at $5,000.

 

Tyrone Len Freeman, 57, Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 30, 2026, at 8:44 pm on the following charges:

• Possession of marijuana
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Tail lamps required
• Driving under suspension

Bail was set at $5,250.
