Arrest Report- August 7, 2025

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to  40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Barbara Butler Smith, 64, Patterson, LA, was arrested on August 6, 2025, at 8:22 pm for the following charges:

• Driving on roadway laned for traffic
• Driving while intoxicated
• Littering
• Failure to change address within ten days
• Open container

Smith was released on a $4,250 bond.

Richard John Blanchard, 51, Montegut, LA, was arrested on August 7, 2025, at 2:36 am for driving while intoxicated, license plate lights required, and improper lane usage. Bail has not been set at this time.
