Detectives Investigating Shooting in Bayou Vista

Bayou Vista, LA - At approximately 11:21 PM on Saturday evening, August 2, 2025, deputies with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office were dispatched to Cane Street in Bayou Vista in response to a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, deputies learned that three victims had been struck by gunfire. The individuals were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The area was secured, and SMPSO detectives are actively investigating the incident.
