St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 18 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Aketa Raquel Francis, 33, Berwick, LA, was arrested on December 1, 2025, at 11:19 am on two warrants for failure to appear for non-pay of child support and theft. Bail has not been set at this time.

Jermaine Lavone Spain, 41, Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 1, 2025, at 10:58 am on a failure to appear warrant for possession of marijuana, operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled, and speeding. Bail has not been set at this time.

Victor Ongra Stewart, 64, Gibson, LA, was arrested on December 1, 2025, at 7:24 am on the following charges:

Traffic control signals
No insurance
Possession of schedule I drug with intent to distribute
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Open container
