Arrest Report- February 27, 2026

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 32 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Alphonso Manuel Martinez, 40, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on February 26, 2026, at 8:06 am for criminal trespass and resisting arrest or officer. Bail has not been set at this time.

Melissa Louisa Ruffin, 58, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on February 26, 2026, at 9:36 am on two warrants for failure to appear on the following charges; 

• issuing worthless checks
• careless operation of a motor vehicle
• vehicle without required equipment or in an unsafe condition
• no driver's license on person. 

Bail has not been set at this time.
