St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 28 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Eddie Lee Brown IV, 52, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on February 3, 2026, at 4:08 pm on the following charges: 

• Speeding
• No insurance
• Driving under suspension
• Criminal damage to property-simple
• Resisting arrest or officer (4 counts)
• Resisting a police officer with force or violence
• Possession of marijuana
• Attempted escape
• Failure to appear warrant for the charge of violation of protective orders

Bail has not been set at this time.
