Arrest Report- January 6, 2026

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 68 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Shenique A. Jones, 43, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 5, 2026, at 2:58 pm on a warrant for battery-simple. Jones was released on a $2,500 bond.

King George Alexander Charles Sr., 65, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on January 5, 2026, at 10:38 am on a warrant for assault-aggravated. Charles was released on bond.

Drake Roland Businelle, 30, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 5, 2026, at 12:06 pm on the following charges:

• Stalking
• Expired driver's license
• No head lights
• False communications with intent to cause emergency response

Businelle was released on a $4,000 bond.
