Arrest Report- January 7, 2026
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 62 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Julien Christian Lee, 24, New Orleans, LA, was arrested on January 6, 2026, at 11:06 am on a NOPD warrant for failure to appear for the charges of burglary-simple. Lee is being held for another agency.
Daniel Smith, 39, Gibson, LA, was arrested on January 6, 2026, at 10:06 am on the following charges:
- No passing zones
- Traffic control signals
- Driving under suspension
- Possession of methamphetamines
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
Smith also held a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding, operating a vehicle-no proof of insurance, and operating a vehicle while license is suspended/ revoked/canceled. Bail has been set at $6,500.
Janai Denea Bruno, 20, Lafayette, LA, was arrested on January 6, 2026, at 10:31 pm on the following charges:
- Driver must be licensed
- Open container
- Possession of marijuana
- Possession of schedule IV drugs
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
Bail has not been set at this time.
NARCOTICS SECTION
Travis Mack, 46, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 6, 2026, at 12:14 pm for possession of methamphetamines and traffic laws applied to persons riding bicycles. Bail has not been set at this time.
Allen Charles Jr., 56, Lafayette, LA, was arrested on January 6, 2026, at 10:01 am on a warrant for failure to appear for criminal neglect of family. Bail has not been set at $4700.55.
