St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 95 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Kentrell Dmarcus Gunner, 40, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on March 2, 2026, at 1:34 am for hit and run and failure to report accident. Bail has not been set at this time.

Ernest James Perez, 49, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on March 1, 2026, at 12:19 pm on the following charges:

Criminal trespass
Illegal carrying of a weapon
Driver must be licensed
No insurance
Violation of protective orders

Bail was set at $91,000.

NARCOTICS SECTION

Xavion Lamar, 21, Franklin, LA, was arrested on March 2, 2026, at 11:40 am on a warrant for failure to appear for operating a vehicle without proper equipment and possession of marijuana. Bail has not been set at this time.

Edward Joseph Trimm Jr., 50, Siracusa, LA, was arrested on March 1, 2026, at 11:40 am for the following charges:

Possession of schedule II (meth)
Possession of schedule 1 (heroin)
Possession of legend drug without prescription
Possession of drug paraphernalia

Bail has not been set at this time.
