Arrest Report- March 4, 2026

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 55 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Tom Nguyen, 68, Amelia, LA, was arrested on March 3, 2026, at 7:35 am on an MCPD warrant for failure to appear for simple battery, sexual battery, and criminal damage to property. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Ranney Joseph Suttoon Jr., 50, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on March 3, 2026, at 2:03 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for operating a vehicle without proper required equipment and improper use of registration/license plates/license. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Chase Aaron Scully, 24, Lafayette, LA, was arrested on March 3, 2026, at 3:26 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for possession of schedule I (THC edibles) with intent to distribute, manufacture of schedule I CDS, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Willie James Hayes Jr., 46, Franklin, LA, was arrested on March 3, 2026, at 6:53 pm for improper lane usage, possession of schedule I drugs, and illegal carrying of weapons in the presence of a CDS. Bail has not been set at this time.
