St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 55 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Matthew Bryan, 39, Franklin, LA, was arrested on March 4, 2026, at 8:53 pm on a warrant for rape-third degree and crime against nature. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Gerian Elliot Lightfoot, 34, Franklin, LA, was arrested on March 5, 2026, at 1:10 am on the following charges:  

  • Maximum speed limit
  • Driving while intoxicated
  • Reckless operation-no accident
  • Resisting arrest or officer
  • Operating a vehicle under suspension

 

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Mark Anthony Robin Jr., 41, Franklin, LA, was arrested on March 4, 2026, at 11:27 pm on an Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office warrant for theft. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Reginald Jaquet Talver Jr., 25, Patterson, LA, was arrested on March 4, 2026, at 11:08 pm on a failure to appear warrant for driving on roadway laned for traffic. Talver was released on a $310 bond.

 

David Alexander Lopez, 49, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on March 4, 2026, at 11:54 am on a warrant for possession of schedule II CDS (meth) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Jesus E. Obando-Navarro, 27, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on March 4, 2026, at 12:01 pm on the following charges: 

  • Improper lane usage
  • Operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled
  • Operating a vehicle not covered by security
  • Possession of marijuana

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Vontraven DaShawn Thibeaux, 28, Youngsville, LA, was arrested on March 4, 2026, at 11:54 am on a warrant for failure to appear for possession of schedule II CDS (meth). Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Hakeemia Deontray Bias, 32, Amelia, LA, was arrested on March 4, 2026, at 6:53 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for possession of firearm or carrying concealed weapon by a convicted felon. Bail was set at $250,000.
