St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell Announces Arrest of Mississippi Woman for Murder

Stephanie Nicole Albritton, 40, Brookhaven, MS, was arrested on May 12, 2026, at 4:59 pm on a warrant for second-degree murder and obstruction of justice.

On April 26, 2021, a patrol deputy was to a residence in Centerville in response to an unresponsive subject. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Stephanie Morgan who stated that her husband, Mark Morgan, had used drugs and was unresponsive.  Acadian Ambulance personnel advised the deputy that Mark was deceased. 

On May 11, 2026, new evidence came to light that foul play was possibly involved in the death of Mark Morgan. St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office detectives traveled to Brookhaven, MS, to speak with Stephanie Albritton. As a result of the new information and the ongoing investigation, a warrant was obtained for the arrest of Stephanie Albritton for the charges of second-degree murder and obstruction of justice.

On May 13, 2026, Albritton was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $950,000.

Henry Rabelo, 42, Patterson, LA, was arrested on May 13, 2026, at 7:13 pm on a warrant for child sexual abuse material (492 counts) and sexual abuse of animals (6 counts). 

On April 13, 2026, detectives executed a search warrant that led to the apprehension of Henry Rabelo. Rabelo was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. 

As the investigation continued, additional images were found on a device belonging to Rabelo.  Detectives obtained a warrant for the additional charges and on May 12, 2026, Rabelo was charged and continues to be incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
