St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24- hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 82 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Kevin Lashawn James Sr., 40, Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 20, 2026, at 7:50 am on the following charges:

• Criminal trespass
• Disturbing the peace-intoxicated
• Obstruction of justice-tampering
• Introduction of contraband-penal institute

Bail has not been set at this time.
