Arrest Report- May 28, 2026
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24- hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 66 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Dechariah Keiasha Charmea Johnson, 24, Woodbury, GA, was arrested on May 27, 2026, at 12:39 pm on a warrant for bank fraud and attempted theft. Bail was set at $300,000.
Scott Russell Barr, 43, Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 27, 2026, at 11:46 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple battery. Bail was set at $2,500.
Timothy Wayne Berry Jr., 36, Baker, LA, was arrested on May 27, 2026, at 1:08 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled, operating a vehicle with improper headlights, and operating an unregistered vehicle and/or vehicle. Bail was set at $10,000.
Joseph Aaron Cagnolatti, 31, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on May 28, 2026, at 7:43 pm for the following charges:
- Possession of synthetic cannabinoids
- Resisting an officer by giving false information
- Domestic abuse battery
- Domestic abuse-child endangerment law
Cagnolatti also held two warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:
- Possession of firearm or carrying concealed weapon by convicted felon
- Operating a vehicle with an unlit license plate
- Operating a vehicle without a driver's license
- Flight from an officer
Bail has not been set at this time.
Tahjell Damon Blackburn, 21, St. Martinville, LA, was arrested on May 27, 2026, at 8:00 pm on a complaint warrant for theft of a firearm (2cts.) and aggravated assault with a firearm. Blackburn also held a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of less than $1,000. Bail has not been set at this time.
Kenneth Holden Cornes, 56, Berwick, LA, was arrested on May 27, 2026, at 9:58 pm for driving on roadway laned for traffic, driving while intoxicated, and driving under suspension. Bail was set at $5,000.
Tobbie Ray Lacoste, 43, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on May 27, 2026, at 10:32 pm for domestic abuse battery. Bail has not been set at this time.
Jordan Ray Gant, 36, Patterson, LA, was arrested on May 28, 2026, at 2:06 am for driving while intoxicated and improper lane usage. Bail was set at $2,750.
