Arrest Report- May 4, 2026

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 142 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Vertress Lee Loston, 47, Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 3, 2026, at 9:08 am for violation of protective orders, resisting arrest or officer, and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Donte Jovan Harris, 30, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on May 1, 2026, at 1:09 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, resisting an officer, and possession of a firearm/carrying concealed by a convicted felon. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Angel David Avila, 23, Siracusa, LA, was arrested on May 1, 2026, at 10:35 pm for driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $2,750.

 

Dwayne Jamon Provost, 42, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on May 3, 2026, at 7:36 pm for resisting arrest or officer and on a warrant for criminal neglect of family. Bail was set at $10,879.92.

 

William Douglas Oliver Jr., 39, Gibson, LA, was arrested on May 3, 2026, at 10:35 pm for disturbing the peace-intoxicated and criminal trespass. Bail has not been set at this time.
