Arrest Report- October 16, 2025
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 46 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Jamaar Cardell Harris, 28, Gonzales, LA, was arrested on October 15, 2025, at 11:34 am on a warrant for failure to appear for the charges of failure to yield to emergency vehicle, speeding, operating a vehicle with an expired license plate, and operating a vehicle without a driver's license. Harris was released on a paid fine.
Lester Janard Broussard, 34, Carencro, LA, was arrested on October 15, 2025, at 4:08 pm on two Lafayette Police Department warrants for the following charges:
- Distribution/possession with intent to distribute (Heroin)
- Distribution/possession with intent to distribute Sch. II CDS (Hydrocodone)
- Clandestine lab
- Transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses
- Illegal carrying of weapons
- Illegal possession of stolen things
- Obstruction of justice
Broussard is being held for another agency.
Sydni Lafay Henry, 23, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on October 15, 2025, at 2:19 pm for resisting arrest or officer. Henry was released on a $5,000 bond.
