Arrest Report- October 22, 2026

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24- hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Hollister Matthew Hebert, 20, Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 21, 2026, at 3:21 pm for burglary-simple and theft of firearm. Bail has not been set at this time.

Hebert's arrest is the result of an ongoing collaborative investigation involving the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office, the Chitimacha Tribal Police Department, and the Franklin Police Department regarding a series of residential burglaries and stolen firearms in the area.

Through this joint effort, investigators have successfully recovered multiple stolen firearms and other property. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office thanks our partnering agencies and the community for their assistance.

The investigation remains active, and additional charges may be forthcoming. Anyone with information regarding these incidents is encouraged to contact the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office.
