Arrest Report- September 1, 2026

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24- hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 46 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Vontae Latae Maurice Schennette, 33, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on August 31, 2026, at 2:23 pm on a warrant for failure to appear as a witness. Bail was set at $20,000.

 

Joseph Michael Andrews, 46, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on August 31, 2026, at 8:27 pm on the following charges:

• Disturbing the peace-intoxicated
• Battery-second degree
• Home invasion
• Threatening a public official

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Javise Hakeem Bellair Jack, 28, Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 31, 2026, at 3:03 pm for introduction of contraband-penal institution. Jack continues to be incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

 

Fred Purnell Kenner, 39, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on August 31, 2026, at 3:03 pm for introduction of contraband-penal institution. Kenner continues to be incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
